Learn where the report and block functions are before you need them.

On registration-based platforms, review your profile settings and safer account controls: visibility options, matching filters, and connected-account permissions.

Report violations rather than just skipping — reports are what give moderation teams the data to remove bad actors.

🚩 Know the red flags

Requests for money, gift cards, or crypto — under any pretext — are scams.

"Verification" links sent in chat that ask you to log in or pay are phishing.

Anyone threatening to share captured images is attempting sextortion: stop contact, save evidence, report to the platform, and contact local law enforcement. Do not pay.

If anyone on a platform appears to be under 18, disconnect and report them to the platform immediately.

🌱 Responsible use

Random chat is entertainment for adults — it works best with time limits and clear personal boundaries.

If usage starts interfering with sleep, work, finances, or relationships, treat that as a signal to step back.

Respect regional laws: age of majority, recording laws, and platform availability differ by country, and circumventing platform bans or age controls is never something we advise.
